My Thoughts - Abigail’s Pursuit written by Jodie Wolfe

About the Book

Abigail’s Pursuit written by Jodie Wolfe

Abigail Stewart, with the Civil War raging, is on the verge of losing everything. The man who is responsible for her brother’s death comes to Shippensburg offering to help. How can she work with her enemy? What’s to stop him from betraying her?

Wounded during the war, Daniel Thompson must find a way to make amends and fulfill his friend’s dying request. Daniel’s homecoming proves anything but easy as he seeks to find forgiveness from his family when they can’t be found. The woman he tries to assist, doesn’t want anything to do with him.

Can two wounded hearts find their way back home?

MY THOUGHTS

Abigail's Pursuit is written by Jodie Wolfe. If you have never read a book by this author, then you are missing out. One of my most favorite things about this author is her ability to transport her readers back in time. She always crafts such wonderful scenes where you feel like you are sitting there watching the action unfold around you. I love the theme of forgiveness throughout the whole story.

Abigail is hurting. There is a lot going on around her with the Civil War. Like many, she is on the verge of losing everything. When Daniel Thompson shows up, wanting to help her, as a way of making amends. Abigail holds him responsible for her brother's death. She does not see a way that she can trust him and allow him to help.

Abigail is the sole member of her family. She is alone and about to lose everything. It's 1864 and there is so much hostility going on around her. Daniel has a lot he is carrying also. He is estranged from his family, his best friend has died and he's fighting a war. He has had to see a lot of drama go on around him.

Can Abigail trust him. Can she save what she has left. Can Daniel prove to her that he is not responsible and earn her trust? The scenes are so well written. The characters are well developed. I loved the storyline. Civil War/Reconstruction Era is some of my favorite to read about and the author nailed it.

Thank you to the author, Jodie Wolfe, for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.
