Time to start clearing off my bookshelves! #giveaway

I have been on a lot of blog tours lately.

I love to read!

Because of this, I have accumulated a BUNCH of ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) Books.

I would love to start gifting them to people so that my book shelf gets cleared.

First up:

Shine Like Dawn By Carrie Turansky

Check my review out HERE

Summary of Book:
Book: Shine Like the Dawn

Author: Carrie Turansky

Genre: Historical

In a quiet corner of northern Edwardian England, Margaret Lounsbury diligently works in her grandmother’s millinery shop, making hats and caring for her young sister. Several years earlier, a terrible tragedy reshaped their family, shattering an idyllic life and their future prospects. But Maggie is resilient and will do what she must to protect her sister Violet. Still, the loss of her parents weighs heavily on her heart and she begins to wonder if what happened that day on the lake…might not have been an accident.

When wealthy inventor and industrialist William Harcourt dies, his son Nathaniel, who is Maggie’s estranged childhood friend, returns from his time in the Royal Navy and inherits his father’s vast estate, Morningside Manor. He also assumes partial control of his father’s engineering company and the duty of repaying an old debt to the Lounsbury family. But years of separation between Nate and Maggie have taken a toll and Maggie struggles to trust her old friend.

Can Maggie let go of the resentment that keeps her from forgiving Nate—and reconciling with God? Will their search for the truth about her parents’ death draw them closer or will it leave them both with broken hearts?

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters.

So, I want to pay it forward.

Please leave a comment below answering this question:

Has someone hurt you so much so that you had a hard time of letting go of the grudge? Have you been able to do so?

My answer to this is: YES! There has been a lot of family drama to where there were times lots of family members were not talking to one another very often. Completely understanding the Freedom that I could live in every day by dropping the weight of burdens, hurt, etc at the foot of the cross helped me to move on and reconcile.

  6. I try not to hold onto things, but do. If a fight/argument comes up, then a lot from the past comes up as well.

  9. I think everyone has been hurt by someone but its so important to let it go. If not we are the ones that hurt the most. We shouldn't let people steal our joy. We are supoose to forgive and forget.
