Happy Release day to Stephenia H. McGee and "In His Eyes"

Anyone that knows me, knows that I love anything that is civil war time period and reconstruction era. So, anything that is Christian Fiction I will jump on the chance to read it.

I was recently given the opportunity to read an ARC (Advance Readers Copy) of "In His Eyes": A Civil War Romance by Stephenia H. McGee

Here is the summary of the book:

About the Author:

Stephenia McGee is a wife, mother of two very active little boys, author, and lover of all things historical. Stephenia currently lives in Mississippi with her husband and sons where she writes stories of faith, redemption and life steeped in southern culture.


My Review: I could not put this one down. I was immediately lost in the story of Ella who has had a very rough few years due to the Civil War, and Major Westley Remington who also has had a rough few years. My heart broke for what they had been through - and what they had to now walk through. I love the Bible messages that are woven into the story. I loved the area where the story took place in - since I have been following the author on this journey - I know that she did a lot of careful research. You will not want to story to end - and you will really enjoy this heartwarming story.
